Description:Another Ornamental material Gold on Wood, this time, with displacement map for to put in value the volume of material. Made it in A&D material:I used 3 maps:"diffuse map", "bump map" and "displacement map" at resolution 2048x2048 pixels and d.p.i.72 pixels/inch. All made in Photoshop. Later edit:I fix the blur problems and rescale to 2048/2048 with base main pattern 1024x4,

Title: Texture Quality
You have very large texture files (files add up to 17.3 megs archived) and yet at actual pixel viewing they are blurry as if you started with a lower resolution file and up-sampled them. I reduced them by a factor of 4 in a bi-cubic sharpen 3 step method and will render it out to see if there is any downgrade in quality, by I think it will look just as good and reduce the overall file sizes tremendously.

Title: Texture
I'm not sure if I understand you correct. Can explain the size of the files with stupidity of beginner or is Russian influence(ha!ha!)...I can say that I built my maps pixel by pixel; I design the base of model on 1024/1024 and placed x16 in 4096/4096 all in 72 d.p.i. I wonder if is correct and what size is indicated ? On my object I do not obtain the same bump/displacement is attenuate(visible) and smooth is lowest too.

Title: No Time
I haven't had the time to render out and check, I was just saying that your images seemed a bit blurry as if you started out with 1024 x 1024 pixels and in PS you increased the image size. I could be wrong, but you can't just tell PhotoShop to make a 1024 x 1024 a 4096 x 4096 and get a good quality image. Maybe you took a 1024 x 1024 and mirrored it in x and y directions to twice to get a 4096 x 4096 which would be increasing the pixel resolution and should produce an image as good as the original. Perhaps the original image was a bit blurry and hence by me reducing size while sharpening created a better looking image. I was just commenting on what I saw when I inspected the textures.

It is all good and I thank you for sharing your creation with us.

Thank you very much ! I'm much honored !
I just explain how I proceed is not my intention to offend or something else...pleas believe me I am affected by that...and my problem not refer solely at this texture it happen with all. It seems that in tested object is a secret modifier or script...I mean is something in addition.

Regards.

Title: Hey There
Hey, I was just pointing out what it seemed like to me and how I thought file sizes could be saved, wasn't saying you had to change anything! ;) Thanks for being pro-active with your material and for sharing it. Much appreciated!
